My rendition / concept design of one of the most iconic places in the Forgotten Realms: “A stone building with a slate roof, the Yawning Portal offered guest rooms on the three upper floors. A signboard that simply read “The Yawning Portal,” hanging on chains from a black iron pole above the front door, announced the entry to the inn.” – D&D Beyond

After designing my own version of the infamous inn, I wanted to depict it in the city’s broader context. This artwork brings to life the busy atmosphere around the Yawning Portal, blending my design with Waterdeep’s vibrant energy. The thrilling challenge was to make the inn and its surroundings feel authentic to the city’s rich history and magic.
